Andrea Martinez-Mejia is the Executive Director of the Greater Newark Health Care Coalition (GNHCC), where she leads the organization and helps shape its strategy and vision. She works to ensure that everything GNHCC does stays grounded in its mission, remains relevant to current conditions, adapts to emerging needs, and creates measurable impact for the communities it serves. Her work brings her alongside healthcare stakeholders, community partners, public agencies, and cross-sector organizations at the state and local levels to strengthen collaboration, build resilience, and advance health equity across the region. She is deeply motivated by community-centered leadership and by the belief that meaningful progress happens when people come together around a shared purpose. She finds it most rewarding to help create partnerships and momentum that allow others to respond effectively to community needs. Outside of work, Andrea is passionate about soccer and tennis and loves spending weekends at the pitch or on the tennis court with her son and husband.
Denise L. Peroune, Ph.D. serves as GNHCC’s inaugural Chief Operating Officer. A strategic leader in public health and nonprofit operations, she is known for turning vision into actionable, sustainable solutions that drive measurable impact. She has secured millions in funding, built scalable programs, and strengthened organizational systems across government, nonprofit, and private-sector healthcare settings.
At GNHCC, Denise leads efforts to advance organizational strategy, enhance operational effectiveness, and position the organization for continued growth in an evolving healthcare landscape. She is recognized for her ability to align strategy with execution, foster accountability,and navigate complex systems with clarity and purpose.
Outside of work, Denise enjoys photographing nature and architecture, capturing moments that invite reflection and reveal unexpected beauty.
Cynthia Rogers, MBA serves as Chief Financial Officer of the Greater Newark Health Care Coalition, where she leads financial planning, budgeting, compliance, and risk management while overseeing day-to-day financial operations.
Cindy’s financial leadership at GNHCC is based on reliability, accountability, trust, and a strong commitment to accuracy. She values environments that foster clarity, collaboration, and transparency and is passionate about working in an environment that is mission-driven to improving health outcomes.
Cindy is grateful for her journey of working in the non-profit accounting field for over fifteen years which led her to the Greater Newark Health Coalition in 2022. Outside of work, Cindyfinds enjoyment being surrounded by her family and loves being outside in the sunshine.
Marlene brings a dynamic blend of administrative leadership, office efficiency, and mission-driven dedication to advancing community health in her role at Greater Newark Health Care Coalition. She lends her executive support and office management, ensuring seamless day-to-day processes while supporting leadership in achieving strategic goals.
Marlene serves as a central point of communication across departments, partners, and stakeholders. She is committed to advancing initiatives that promote equitable access to healthcare, strengthen community partnerships, and improve population health outcomes.
In her spare time, Marlene enjoys both books and films alike, mostly memoirs and documentaries, and good quality food and fun with family and friends.
Nikki St. Germain serves as a Senior Manager of Community Health Programs at the Greater Newark Health Care Coalition (GNHCC), where she currently supports the following programs: National Cardiovascular Health, Newark Learning Collaborative, NJ FamilyCare Housing Supports, and regional Medicaid activities. In this role, she brings together partners across sectors, guides program strategy and implementation, and works closely with community and healthcare leaders to improve health outcomes and advance equity across Newark and the surrounding region.
Nikki is known for her thoughtful leadership, collaborative spirit, and deep commitment to community-driven work. She brings a relationship-centered approach to her role, along with a strong ability to connect people, ideas, and data to move initiatives forward in meaningful and impactful ways.
Outside of work, Nikki enjoys teaching holistic childbirth education, engaging in community building, being a wife and mom, and spending time with family and friends.
Noor Siyam, MPH serves as Analytics and Evaluation Manager at the Greater Newark Health Care Coalition. In this role, Noor oversees GNHCC’s health information exchange, conducts population health analytics, and supports program staff with grant monitoring and evaluation. Noor is recognized for approaching complex problems with an analytical mindset and for her ability to leverage analytics to drive data-informed decision making and impact. She is passionate about transforming data into action that supports GNHCC’svision of greater health equity for the Greater Newark community. Outside of work, Noor enjoys traveling, painting, and exploring local destinations with her family.
Nicole Gorman is a Program Associate at the Greater Newark Health Care Coalition (GNHCC), where she supports community health initiatives, including healthcare coverageaccess and cardiovascular disease support and prevention.
Nicole holds a Master of Social Work from Rutgers University and is committed to advancing health equity and community well-being. In her role, Nicole provides program and administrative support across a range of initiatives, including community outreach, stakeholder engagement, and grant and reporting activities. Through her work with community partners, data teams, and program staff, Nicole contributes to GNHCC’s mission of improving health outcomes and creating equitable opportunities for residents throughout the Greater Newark region.
Outside of work, Nicole enjoys gardening and appreciates opportunities to connect with nature and her community.
Kelvin Marshall serves as Program Associate at the Greater Newark Health Care Coalition, where he supports community health initiatives that services Medicaid members, and program coordination for GNHCC’s role in the NJ FamilyCare Housing Supports Program and South Ward Promise Neighborhood Health Anchor Partnership.
Kelvin brings impactful partner relationship management and program development skills, and is known for his organized and strategic approach. His work helps ensure programs reach community members who can benefit and partner organizations that can participate, which is key to achieving GNHCC’s mission and impact.
Outside of work, Kelvin enjoys his daily walks and reading fiction books.
Oluwamodupe Idowu serves as a Community Health Worker at the Greater Newark Health Care Coalition (GNHCC), where she supports cardiovascular disease prevention and management initiatives within the community. In this role, she conducts outreach, provides health education, connects individuals to healthcare and community resources, and helps clients navigate services that promote heart health and overall well-being.
Oluwamodupe is known for her strong communication skills, compassionate approach, and commitment to empowering individuals to make informed health decisions. Through education, advocacy, and care coordination, she helps advance GNHCC’s mission of improving health outcomes and reducing health disparities in underserved communities.
Outside of work, Oluwamodupe enjoys community service, continuous learning, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Jean Wilson Cadet serves as a Community Health Worker at the Greater Newark Health Care Coalition (GNHCC), supporting the Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Program and the individuals it serves. In this role, he works directly with participants to understand their needs, navigate the healthcare system, and connect with resources that support their health and daily lives. Through outreach, home visits, and regular follow-up, he assists with appointments, medications, insurance, and social needs such as food, housing, and behavioral health support.
Known for building genuine, trusting relationships, Jean approaches each participant with cultural awareness, compassion, and respect. He is motivated by helping people overcome barriers and feel more confident in managing their health.
Outside of work, Jean enjoys traveling, discovering new cultures and cuisines, and exploring new places and experiences.
